Birth and Death
I found this scene yesterday on a photo tour. It is a great visual metaphor for what I am thinking a lot the last months.
Birth and Death are very close to each other. It is only a short period of time between both states. We need to use our precious time on earth wisely.
At the moment I am more and more evolving to a nature photographer. Formerly I would have called myself a landscape or travel photographer. I spent so much time enjoying woods and places I am normally not visiting. This is very inspiring to me.
The interesting part of it: I found my personal vision not only in seascapes but also in woods. There are a lot of things to shoot that evokes similar visions like the ocean.
Nature is giving me the certainty that there is truth, hope and something to believe in.
What do you think about that?

Hi Olaf,
no, we’re back home….
Our internet is a bit better now, too!
Great idea talking about this topic. I’m very passionate about it and the more we travel the better it get’s!

Nature is my religion! When I’m out taking photos I’m one with nature. I also loved seascapes best but now I just enjoy seeing beauty, creating images that evoke emotions.
Also as nature photographer you see it all! The waste, living and dying. Wild weathers, northern lights, stars, the moon…. I feel at ease, awed, excited and always I realize I’m part of a much bigger, perfect scheme!
Well, as I said! Nature and nature photography: my religion!
I can’t even think about doing something different!
