What Canon really unveils with the 18MP EOS Rebel T4i

Post placeholder image

Announcing a camera with a new 3-inch Vari-angle, Touch Screen Clear View LCD monitor II with “fingertip” controls, touch-menu and touch still and video capabilities unveils only one question:

Where is the 5D or the 1D equivalent?

These cool sounding functions must have been available when the 5D mark III or the 1Dx was developed. So why can’t we find these features in the new 5D or 1D?

Possible answers:

  1. Canon will announce another Pro Cam with this features in the near future!
  2. These features aren’t pro!
  3. There are communication problems at Canon!

What do you think?

I think the reason for these missing features is “2”, thats not PRO, but I hope “1” a full frame with a price around the 5D MK II

Btw. the new camera is placed as a toy, you have now in camera filter like “Oil Painting”, something like the Olympus E30 from 2009 ;-). Many said in 2009, that such a feature is not for serious photographs, like Nikon or Canon users are.
Looks like that Olympus is a innovational Company, not only in the financial way :o)
